What The Genshin Impact 3.0 Release Date Is – Screen Rant

HoYoverse may not have given an official release date for Genshin Impact 3.0, but the typical six-week update cycle gives a reliable date.
HoYoverse first teased the Genshin Impact 3.0 update in early July, before Version 2.8 was even released, confirming that it will be the game’s next major patch. Although the developers have not given any concrete information regarding the release date, Genshin Impact‘s six-week update cycle allows players to predict the day with a considerable level of confidence.
Version 2.8 introduced one new character, a decent amount of quests, and an assortment of items, but Version 3.0 promises to be far more momentous. To start, Genshin Impact 3.0 will introduce the Sumeru region, an entirely new rainforest- and desert-heavy area that even the manga gives little information about. However, it is clear that the area is inspired by South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures, and it is home to the prestigious Sumeru Akademiya academy, which is referenced multiple times in the game’s lore.

The new questlines have been kept under wraps, but a certain teaser insinuates that they will feature the Fatui Harbingers, the powerful and mysterious leaders of the villainous Fatui faction. The manga-only character Collei also made an appearance in the trailer and leaks have suggested she’ll be available near the start of Version 3.0, alongside fellow newcomers Tighnari and Dori. Both Genshin Impact 3.0’s Collei and Tighnari are confirmed to use bows, while Dori is an Electro-based claymore user.
Version 2.8, which contained the Summer Fantasia update, was released on July 13, so if HoYoverse continues to follow its established pattern, fans can expect to see the Genshin Impact 3.0 release date on August 24. For now, this release date for Genshin Impact 3.0 is only a prediction based on past update schedules. Perhaps the most game-changing new feature is the seventh and final element (for now), Dendro, which previously existed in concept but has not yet been useable. Dendro is basically the game’s plant element, and in addition to the Burning Elemental Reaction that occurs when it touches Pyro, it will also have a Bloom reaction with Hydro and a Catalyze reaction with Electro. So far, Tighnari and Collei are the only confirmed Dendro characters, but there have been plenty of unconfirmed character leaks circulating online.
August 24 is only an educated guess based on HoYoverse’s previous update schedule, and though the company has historically released major patches every six weeks, it has deviated before. Version 2.7 took a little over eight weeks, and though it is an outlier, Genshin Impact‘s seemingly huge Sumeru region could mean this is the largest update the game has seen in months. That said, considering the fact that the beta for 3.0 started two weeks ago, HoYoverse looks to be right on schedule. Players can tentatively look forward to Genshin Impact 3.0 around August 24, when they can finally see whether Sumeru is as breathtaking as it appears.
