Viva Aerobus strengthens connectivity in the state of Yucatan with the start of operations on the Merida (MID) – Camaguey (CMW) route and the launch of two domestic services in December. The low-cost carrier will offer two international connections at Manuel Crescencio Rejón Airport (MID).

«The increase in Viva’s offer in the state occurs a few weeks after the airline announced its sixth operational base in Merida, that is, an airport where some aircraft stay overnight and an entity where crews reside, resulting in more agile operations and an increase in flights and routes,» said Michelle Fridman, Yucatan’s Secretary of Tourism Development.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, as of December, Viva Aerobus will offer 30,748 weekly seats in 146 operations. It will be the second largest air operator at Manuel Crescencio Rejon Airport (MID).
