L’ancien poids lourd de l’UFC, Roque Martinez, a terminé Yokoya ‘McGregor’ à deux reprises dans le même combat lors du Brawl International 2.
Les deux hommes se sont affrontés durant le main event de la soirée vendredi à Tumon, Guam. L’un comme l’autre faisait ses débuts au Brawl International.
L’affrontement entre les deux heavyweights a pris une tournure assez particulière lorsque Martinez a envoyé un kick à la tête de son adversaire qui était au sol. L’arbitre est alors intervenu pour stopper le combat. Malgré cet arrêt, l’affrontement a repris son cours dans la confusion. Ainsi, Martinez n’a pas manqué de terminer Yokoya avec un étranglement arrière après l’avoir touché en anglaise.

Après une série de trois défaites à l’UFC, Roque Martinez a renoué avec la victoire. À présent, le poids lourd de 36 ans détient un bilan de 16-8-2.
Yokoya McGregor, de son vrai nom Yuichi Yokoyama, a subi une deuxième défaite consécutive. En effet avant ce combat, le Japonais avait perdu par TKO face à Shiro Tomoyose au MCCS Fight Night 2022, en avril. Désormais, son record professionnel est établi à 4 victoires et 3 défaites.
