Anya Taylor-Joy stars alongside Ralph Fiennes and Nicholas Hoult in The Menu, a film from director Mark Mylod (“Succession”) that has been described as being darkly comedic.
Searchlight Pictures will release The Menu in theaters on November 18, 2022 (read Meagan’s review here), and the official poster has been painstakingly prepared for us today.
The film, penned by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss, “is a darkly comedic psychological thriller set in the world of eccentric culinary culture, centering on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu. Taylor-Joy will play one half of the couple. Fiennes is playing the chef.”
The cast also includes Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Judith Light, Reed Birney, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castro, Mark St. Cyr, Rob Yang, and John Leguizamo.
Adam McKay (The Big Short) is producing The Menu for Searchlight.
The Menu had originally been set to star Emma Stone and Ralph Fiennes, with Alexander Payne attached to direct, but both Stone and Payne ultimately left due to scheduling conflicts.

In the wake of last year’s ambitious trilogy directed by Leigh Janiak, Netflix is headed back to R.L. Stine‘s Fear Street with a brand new movie, Above the Line is reporting tonight.
Additionally, Jeff Sneider reports that Chloe Okuno (V/H/S 99‘s “Storm Drain” segment and this year’s Watcher) will be directing that fourth Fear Street film for Netflix.
At this time, plot details are under wraps. Stay tuned.
Head over to Above the Line to learn more.
Netflix’s Fear Street franchise thus far includes…
Fear Street Part One: 1994 – A circle of teenage friends accidentally encounter the ancient evil responsible for a series of brutal murders that have plagued their town for over 300 years.
Fear Street Part Two: 1978 – Shadyside, 1978. School’s out for summer and the activities at Camp Nightwing are about to begin. But when another Shadysider is possessed with the urge to kill, the fun in the sun becomes a gruesome fight for survival.
Fear Street Part Three: 1666 – The origins of Sarah Fier’s curse are finally revealed as history comes full circle on a night that changes the lives of Shadysiders forever.
