Atlas Film Distribution is getting set to unleash The Mean One, a highly unofficial Christmas horror movie that turns the Grinch into a slasher movie maniac. Because why not?!
The company will release Steven LaMorte‘s outrageous slasher parody in U.S. cinemas on December 9, and the official trailer has been unleashed. Watch The Mean One trailer below!
In the audacious new parody, The Mean One (Terrifier 2‘s David Howard Thornton) is a hairy, green-skinned grump in a Santa suit, living on a mountain high above the town of Newville, despising the holiday season. Young Cindy You-Know-Who (Krystle Martin), whose parents were butchered by The Mean One twenty Christmases earlier, is returning to town to seek closure… but when the Mean One launches a new reign of terror that threatens to destroy Christmas, Cindy finds a bold new purpose – trapping and killing the monster.
Directed by LaMorte with a script by Flip and Finn Kobler, The Mean One also stars Chase Mullins, John Bigham, Erik Baker, Flip Kobler, and Amy Schumacher.
A co-production between A Sleight of Hand Productions, Amy Rose Productions, and Kali Pictures, the feature is Produced by Schumacher, LaMorte, and Martine Melloul. Executive Producers are Jordan Rosner, Gato Scatena, and Zach Stampone.
Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth’s prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

Pulling into the station on January 5, 2023 over in Singapore is J.D. Chua‘s monster movie Circle Line, which is notable for being the first big creature feature to come out of Singapore.
“The film features what is said to be a big mutant lizard/rat hybrid monster,” Bloody Disgusting has been told, and the official trailer for Circle Line has just been unleashed this week.
The monster in the movie was designed by Victor Marin, and bits and pieces of it are on display in this first trailer. It looks like we’ll have to wait for a full creature reveal, however.
In the film, “Trapped in the underground train tunnel system, a single mother’s resolve to protect her son is tested to the extreme as both of them are the few remaining survivors of an attack by a monster. Meanwhile in the control room, duty engineers fight desperately to rescue the trapped survivors.”
Jesseca Liu, Andie Chen, Peter Yu, Patrick Pei-hsu Lee, Alan Tan, Nathaniel Ng, Johnny Ng, and Ashley Seow star in Circle Line, written by Siew Pek Chye, Allan Ho, and Andrew Chiang Meng Ngin. The film is produced by MM2 Asia, MM2 Entertainment, and Taipan Films.
Thanks to Avery Guerra for bringing this one to our attention.
