Tower of Fantasy: How To Play With Friends (Multiplayer Guide) – Screen Rant

To play Tower of Fantasy with friends, Wanderers must ensure that their companions are on the same server and that they are also friends in-game.
One of the main features of the Genshin Impact-like MMORPG Tower of Fantasy is a "shared open world," which enables Wanderers to play with their friends and explore the vast regions together. Of course, the game's main campaign is undoubtedly soloable, but venturing across the varied terrain and battling the many mobs and bosses is bound to bring some wonderful social experiences for fans. Genshin Impact fans can meet other random players via multiplayer, but many will likely enjoy gameplay more with their real-life or online companions.
While the co-op system of Tower of Fantasy is not too complex, there are several conditions that must be met for multiplayer to work. First, the player and the friend they are attempting to play with must be on the same server. It is not possible for someone playing on a server in Asia to join someone's world in America and vice versa. For further clarification, physical location or IP does not matter, but the server to which the player's character is tied does.

Next, playing with friends in Tower of Fantasy requires the Wanderers to be "in-game Friends" as well. To add someone as a Friend, select the "Friends" tab from the semi-pause menu and then choose "Search & Add." Here, players can find their friends via their ID and add them as a Friend in-game. Once this is done, Wanderers can move on to the next step for co-op play.
Now that both parties are Friends on the same server in Tower of Fantasy, they can create or join each other Lobby. According to the YouTube channel Gamers Heroes, this procedure is done by pressing the T key on PC and selecting the small flag icon on the right side of the HUD to view two options: Create Team and Find Team. The first option will open the Lobby screen, where players can see their avatar, including anyone else who has joined the Lobby. Choose the hexagon plus icon to view the list of Friends available for an invite.
Once the Genshin Impact fans are in a co-op Lobby together, they both must travel or be within the Team Leader's world. Note that Team Leader status can be transferred between players. Next, select the small two-player icon beside the Lobby's list of players on the upper right to enter the instanced Channel of the Team Leader. Remember that both Wanderers must be in the same Channel to see and interact with each other. Once the loading screen has passed, the player should find themselves in the same world as their friends in Tower of Fantasy.
