Monster Hunter Rise: Seregios Fight Guide (Tips, Tactics, & Strategies) – Screen Rant

Counter Seregios’ attacks with Thunder weapons and skills, successfully perform dodges, and target the Wyvern’s legs in Monster Hunter Rise: Daybreak.
Seregios is a returning beast in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak that can inhabit many environments in the game but is most commonly found in deserts. Players will first encounter Seregios in the Sandy Plains, a vast desert expanse where players will need to complete a variety of quests and slay many monsters. Seregios, one of the new additions to the Sunbreak DLC, is a Flying Wyvern. Unlike the Fanged Wyvern Lunagaron in Monster Hunter Rise, Seregios takes to the skies and attacks players with its claws and tail.
With the reintroduction of Seregios into the Monster Hunter franchise, players will once again have to deal with Bleeding damage. Some of Seregios’ attacks will cause players to Bleed. While Bleeding, players will take on extra damage. In past games, players can remove the Bleeding status by crouching, but in the middle of a fight, this can be difficult. Seregios uses several powerful attacks, including a Roar that stuns players, Claw Dives from above, Claw Scratches, and an attack where Seregios launches its sharp scales. Seregios’ most famous move from previous games is the Forward Claw Dive, where twice in succession the Wyvern will dive into the sand with its claws extended, attacking players and potentially causing Bleeding damage. While Bleeding damage is new to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, it is not new to the series, and makes its triumphant return with Seregios.

To effectively deal with Seregios, players should master dodging maneuvers, equip items to deal with its Roar stun, and target its legs to trip it up. Seregios is a large, powerful Wyvern that makes full use of the open desert to attack players, so being able to dodge when necessary and take advantage of Seregios’ weaknesses are the best tactics for defeating this beast.
Since Seregios in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak can attack from all angles, players need to be adept at dodging. There are a variety of dodges players can master, but the easiest are the basic dodge and a dive. For Switch players, dodge by pressing B and moving the left joystick in the desired direction. To dive, sheath any weapons, sprint in the desired direction with R, then dive with B. For Monster Hunter’s PC players, dodge by pressing the spacebar, sheath weapons by pressing shift, and sprint by holding down shift. It’s important to know that using dodge techniques requires stamina, so with any major fight in Monster Hunters Rise players need to manage the stamina gauge as well as health.
Seregios in Monster Hunter has a powerful Roar that will deafen players and stun them temporarily. This can easily be countered with Earplugs at Level 3 or higher, which will nullify the effects of Seregios’ Roar. Earplugs will not stop damage, but will prevent players from being stunned. Other skills that players should consider are ones that imbue Thunder damage, as Seregios is weakest to Thunder. It is worth noting that all Wyvern classes are weak to Thunder attacks, so players should equip Monster Hunter Rise weapons like the Thunderbolt Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Lance, or Bow to deal more damage.
Finally, players should target the legs, head, and stomach of Seregios in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak to deal the most damage. Since Seregios uses its legs to both attack players and maneuver about the desert, targeting the legs causes the beast to trip, making it easier for players to run up on it and attack. There will be several ground-based attacks where players can run up to Seregios’ legs and attack, so taking advantage here is crucial to defeating the beast.
