Week 2 of the NFL season featured a number of big performances by former NC high school football players, including some seeing their first NFL action, while another signed a big new deal. Kyle Morton and Joel Bryant break down the action and look ahead to Week 3.
Hello, everybody. Welcome The high school OT in the league were re capping Week two of the NFL action and looking ahead to Week three today, I’m kind of Morton joined, as always by Joel Bryant. Joel, How are you doing today? I’m good. I had Thio travel about 15 minutes to record this because my computer is, uh, having problems. But I’m Luckily I’m at Nick’s house. It’s not too far away, so commuting is back. It’s been a while for us that we haven’t really had Thio drive to do work. Yeah, we’re used to being kind of hunkered down at this point. Um, you know who else is used to being hunkered down at this point? The Arizona Cardinals two and a very impressive win over the Washington football team this week to go with their upset win over the 40 Niners last week. Three offensive linemen starting for that line. North Carolina products. You’ve got Lamont Gal Yard, the Pine Forest, J. R. Sweezy of Mooresville, D. J. Humphries of Mallard Creek. It wasn’t by design that those three were starting offensive linemen, but they did a really good job protecting Kyler Murray from really good Washington Pass rush. Joel, What did you see from those guys? Yeah, Galliard is usually the second string center. Um, their first things are Mason Cole to leave. He left before the game. I think I heard, like during the week. But Gallery came in and played well again. That Washington defensive line is really, really good, and they only held him the three stacks during the whole game. Uh, you know D. J. Humphries played really well. He was the Arizona’s highest rated offensive linemen of the Pff score of 70.9, which is pretty good on Pff terms. But it’s just really cool to see a team that’s good and starting three guys from North Carolina on the offensive line. It’s really unique. And, uh, it’s not something that we normally see. You know. The job for an offensive line gets a lot easier when you’re blocking. For a guy like Kyler Murray with his escape strip, it’s good Lord, he is up there with Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson in terms of making plays outside the pocket. I think at this point, also in that game, James Smith Williams of Millbrook recorded his first NFL tackle uh, Joel, do you think we can see more of him? Uh, kind of on that Washington defense rotating and moving forward? Yeah, that defensive lines just so deep. That’s the thing about it. You know, you have, like, all these first round picks and the guy like James Smith Williams that was drafted in the later part of the draft. But you know, the thing about him is, even though that line is so deep, he proved he proved to the coaches over the training camp that he was worth keeping on the roster. He’s worth flying, so that tells you a lot about him, just considering how good the rest of players in that defensive line room are. So, yeah, I think, you know, with with rookies, it’s always gonna take a little bit of time for them to kind of, you know, get truly in the mix. So I think we’re going to see a steady increase of his playing time throughout the season. Well, everyone we talk about is getting paid a lot more to play football than they did when they were playing high school here in high school football here in North Carolina. But one guy who really just got paid Torrico in of the Chicago Bears in a bun High school. A three year extension worth $17.25 million in new money, 5.7 million a year can be worth up to 18.25 million, with bonuses that would get about 6.93 million year. Of course, this is all per Adam Schefter, Uh, Cohen. I mean, he’s the support back to David Montgomery, but clearly he’s someone that the Bears field is an important key to their offense with what he could do in passing situations. Yeah, that’s a great story of small guy from a small school in a small town. Uh, went to a smaller program in N C A A. And he just the guy has probably been underdog his whole life. He kept going and going and going, and he’s really prove himself. You know, each of his each of those seasons in the NFL now finally earning this contract, I couldn’t be more happy for him. I’m sure the bun community is just thrilled that he got that deal. Um, didn’t have didn’t have lots to do on Sunday. But I expect I expect next Sunday he’ll be back, Uh, putting up some yards and maybe even scoring again. Well, you may have to eat your words a little bit, because Mitchell Strabinsky has the Bears that to and O so far. I’m not the best competition to this point, but we saw we saw contributions from Jimmy Graham, also North Carolina product, and Cohen’s both made some big first down receptions for the Bears in their win over the Giants assed Daniel Jones, uh, out of Charlotte, struggled a little bit with with that Bears defense, which is really, really good. But we did have Dexter Lawrence of the Giants, their defensive linemen defensive tackle. He had five solo tackles, so he was probably a bright spot that Giants defense overall. Not a great day for the Giants losing Sequana party for the season, but they certainly have. A lot of young players have a lot of young players from North Carolina that they’re still excited about. I think even though you know that injury is probably going to impact their season outlook, I think that we’re still going to see those guys developed over the course of the season. You really gotta feel bad for Daniel Jones because, you know, last year he didn’t have his weapons and and this year the talk was, well, he’s gonna have Golden Tate, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slay and Heaven Ingram in sync. Juan Barkley all healthy. And who knows with that combination of talent, what they could do offensively? You lose, say Kwan. He’s arguably the most important of those talent pieces. Eso It’s gonna be another year with some adversity for Daniel Jones to overcome. We’ll see if they bring someone in and running back to kind of help offset the loss of Barkley. But Daniel Jones is gonna get another opportunity to prove he can do it in a tough situation. Andi, I think he can. He can get some things done and maybe steal a few games here and there for the Giants. Ah, that division is kind of wide open with the Eagle struggling really mightily. And Dallas. I think it’s gonna be a good team, but you know, they haven’t really proven yet. They’re inconsistent. They locked out with a win against Atlanta, but I don’t think it’s it’s not likely at all, but I don’t think it’s completely out of the realm of possibility that New York or Washington make some noise moving up that division a little bit. You know, we talked about Jones. You know, he said he has all the tools that he needs to become a really good quarterback. The NFL is just Unfortunately, the situations around him have been great, and that’s continuing into this season. But, yeah, I’m still I’m still expecting big things from him this year. Another guy, I think we’re gonna be talking about a lot. Um, is Harold Landry of Pine Forest in the Tennessee Titans. He had an unbelievable week again last week, five tackles in a really clutch interception against the Jaguars. That Titans team is really good there, too, and so they’re going to get a chance to move to three and, oh, against the Vikings team that has struggled really mightily to start the year. Landry’s, I think, a key rotational piece on that defense, and I expect him to be to be making big plays all year. Yeah, I’ve seen that assigned to Dave and cloudy right before the season. Now having Guy land like a confrontation guy that comes in, you know, when uh, maybe Clowney or the other starter gets kind of worn down a little bit, You know it Z, that’s a pretty big asset that have coming in because usually by then the offensive line a little bit tired. But he keeps first two weeks here. He’s done a lot. The interception was huge. I mean, you’re talking about three point game. If he doesn’t get that interception, then the game probably could possibly turn out differently. So yeah, it Z, I’m really I’m really interested to see how he continues to turn along here in that. In that your role. Also, Laurel Murchison of East Bladen and eventually event C State recorded his first tackle in that Titans win. Um, he’s a guy who was really good for the Wolfpack last year. I think, you know, they were kind of looking for an experienced peace on the defensive line last year with the rest of you know, all the struggles they had otherwise, and he stepped up. Now he’s starting to contribute at the NFL level. Yeah, I like him a lot. N. C State. He always made a lot of places there Um, same with a guy like James with James Smith. Williams. You know, these guys were rookies. They didn’t have, like, a full offseason. They didn’t have preseason games and have full training. Camp s. These guys, you’re going to see their roles increased throughout the season as they get more comfortable in the system and as they can, you know, show that they could do more things throughout practice throughout the year. So I think we’re going to see more from Murchison down the road here. Of course, in that game, there was also Tyler Shadley of the Jaguars offensive line from East Burke. Starting center. Brandon Linder, a good player for the Jaguars, got injured. So shot, we got some work he could start on Thursday night against Miami. Um, you know, centers a really tough spot to move into a za backup is it’s having a relationship with the quarterback, and it’ll be interesting to see with a short week if he is pressing the action. Um, you know how he can adjust in, Kind of make that work for the Jaguars? Yeah, I know. We spoke, was excited to see him in the game. I looked him up on Twitter. I saw their accounts tweeting about how you know he’s in the game. You know, everyone go watch some stuff like that. So, yeah, it’s interesting to see if he will play on Thursday night. Obviously, in the short week, it’s hard to come back from injuries, and I’m not exactly sure what is up with Brandon Linder, but, yeah, so it would be nice to see him play on Thursday. Keenan Allen of Northern Guilford. Uh, and the University of California. I think he finally had not. Finally, it is only week two, but he had the game we expected him to be having in Week one when he struggled against the Chiefs this week and the charges really put a scare into the Chiefs. I think we talked about, you know, the charges pass rush, maybe being able to keep them in that game, and and Justin Herbert in his NFL debut. A quarterback. He looked Tina Allen’s way a lot. Andi, I think that’s kind of what we expected a young quarterback to do. Take that kind of a security blanket wide receiver as good as Alan is and and make that his go to target. Yeah, that’s what we talked about on the very first episode. The show is you know, having that guy whenever Herbert does get the chance I’m having that guy is just huge. You know, you’re talking about, like, a really precise route runner. A guy Sure handed, you know, just really explosive guy on the outside. A big fancy guy, like we said, Um, seven catchers, 96 yards that Zatz pretty typical for him. Um, I do think we’re going to see 100 yard game for him soon. Um, the Chargers quarterback situation is kind of interesting because Anthony Lynn has said that he’s still gonna stick with Rod Taylor even though Herbert played really well. So I’m interested to see how that does shake out everywhere. I I expect Allen to keep having big games like this. I think I think when they go back and look at the film, it’s gonna be obvious that Herbert may not be fully polished already, but he gives them, I think, a better chance to win than Taylor. I like Taylor as the death quarterback, but you drafted Herbert so high he’s able to push the ball downfield a little better. And, you know Denver’s injured. Okay. Las Vegas. They had a really impressive showing last night, but I don’t think anyone really fully sold on them is a contender Yet. The Chargers, with those pieces on defense, they have a chance toe to compete for a wild card spot this year, especially with there being three of E. I would. I think Herbert gives them the best chance toe Thio. Achieve that. And I think, you know, I think Lynn, despite what he said about Taylor being starter, I think when they go back and really look at it, I think they’ll see Herberts the guy. Yeah, yeah. Sunday Night Football was awesome game. He had Russell Wilson. Cam Newton. Cam Newton is back. He is fully back. He was outstanding. Russell Wilson was a little better on that was, I think, the difference in that game. But Jaren read of the Seahawks and Derek Rivers of the Patriots. It was in Eastern North Carolina showdown Goldsborough along against the Kinston alum. Awesome game. They both contributed three tackles for Reid to for Rivers. Um, you know, this was this was a game that I think we had circled as probably the best game of the week, and it certainly lived up to that. Yeah, it definitely did. You know, that interesting matchup of our Goldsborough versus Kinston alumni on that game made a little bit more interesting from our perspective because I see them get involved a little bit, you know, they’re both rotational type of guys and defensive line, but, you know, they still get in there and they still make plays on that when they’re in there. Eso Yeah, really cool to see, hear and read. And Derek Rivers do do some things for the Seahawks and Patriots, But yeah, that that game was it was really a really good one. And you know that quarterback for the Patriots? I’m not sure where they found him from, but he is a diamond in the rough. I don’t know where they got him from. Uh, he’s just he’s really impressed me over the first two weeks here. Yeah, former first overall pick. Former Heisman Trophy, you international champion NFL M V P N F C champion almost probably should have been a Super Bowl champion if if things go a little differently, I don’t know where that happened. I prefer not to think about it or talk about it. But he’s a good player. I expect him toe. I mean, you know you got you got the Chiefs of the Ravens. Clearly the two best teams in a F. C. Yeah, the Titans, Patriots and Bills. I could see any of them is the third best team I e. The Steelers and that next year’s in that next to I think those four, I think, could possibly be that their team If the Patriots defense, they had a lot of opt outs, they lost some pieces from last year to other teams. If they can improve as the season goes along and you know they will look at their coach, you know? Yeah, exactly. Improvements. That’s a given. Uh, you know, there’s like four different running backs who contribute on that offense in different ways. Julian Edelman looked great on Sunday night. Nikkila. Harry is an interesting piece. Um, they’ve got this RCSC guy at tight end. I don’t know if he’ll contribute at any point, but, um, if he does, that’s another weapon for Cam Newton. I could see the Patriots being good um, they’re being really good. You know that saying about, you know, one door closing and another one opening. That’s what happened for North Carolina products at wide receiver for the New York Jets as Jamison Crowder unable to go Braxton Barrio steps in as Sam Donald’s kind of primary wide receiver target with Denzel Names also out and he took full advantage. Braxton Barrios, of course. Leesville Road Alum. Later the University of Miami. Six catches for 59 yards and a touchdown. The Jets did kind of get steamrolled by the 40 Niners, as was expected. But you know, various has kind of carved out a role for himself. As you know, a specialty is peace and the guy who can step in on offense and and really contribute and put up some numbers when given the opportunity. Yeah, I guess every slot receiver, North Carolina’s You start studying their film to Joe Douglas and the Jets already because they seem to love our slot receivers. Um, yeah, unfortunately, crowding I wasn’t able to go, but barrios, we kind of we kind of knew that Barrows is gonna do something in that in that replacement role, Um, anyone from from rally remembers him in the high school. Just a really explosive athlete, this guy that just He’s just electric. And, you know, we saw, you know, six catches, 59 yards triggered average, and the touchdown wasn’t a great day for the Jets overall on Sunday. But it’s awesome to see Brax and get some shine there. Yeah, we’ve talked about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their North Carolina’s special teams unit. They were facing a team from North Carolina at home in the Carolina Panthers and and Ryan suck up. It is only field goal in all four of his extra point attempts. Bradley opinion Upon our four punts average of 42 yards into the Panthers inside the 20 twice, Uh, those guys, I think, continue to be, you know, really doing their job for the Buccaneers and with, you know, ah, good defense and a Tom Brady offense. You know, those opportunities for the punts might be limited, but you gotta put that defense in a good position and opinion was able to do that. Yeah, I’m a big fan of both the official kicker and official puncher of icicles in the league opinion in suck up. You know, it’s gonna be interesting. You know, when we get the Buccaneers, we all expect to be seen. That’s in the mix of the end and in the playoffs, those two guys. Their importance is gonna be increasing throughout the season when it gets the playoffs. Having a good kicker in a good punter, it’s something that’s just so underrated. The ability, like you said for opinion to pin them down inside the 20. That’s not skill that every punter has some punters, just kind of, you know, kick it out there and, you know, go into the end zone and that’s not really what you want the playoffs. So I make the team be able to drive down the whole length of the field. Opinion can do that consistently. Um, that’s gonna be a huge asset for the Bucks. Eric Ebron. He’s bounced around the league a little bit drafted by the Lions. Now he’s with Steelers. The Steelers took down the Broncos, 26 to 21. He had three catches for 43 yards as Ben role Fisher. Ben Roethlisberger is back. He’s spreading the ball around Deontay Johnson, Chase Claypool, Juju, Smith, Schuster all really good options for them. A wide receiver in Iran, out of Ben L. Smith. And eventually, you and see, uh, it seems like he’s gonna be a big part of that passing game most weeks. Yeah, a couple of big first down receptions in the five point game. It’s it’s used to have a tight, and that could be able to do that. And I think, you know, I think this is one of these guys that we’re going to see, kind of we’re going to see his role kind of increased throughout the season as it gets more used to Big Ben used to that system. I think I think we’re gonna hear a lot more from Iran throughout the season. So previous 343 yards again, a couple of key first downs. But I think this guy’s gonna be even more important as the year goes along. I mentioned the struggles of the Minnesota Vikings earlier, but a couple guys from North Carolina aren’t struggling from that team. Mike Hughes, the cornerback four tackles against the Colts as, uh, the Vikings lost pretty badly, but I think Garrett Bradbury, a center a first round pick. They invested in him out of Charlotte Christian in NC State last year. A first round pick. Really, really strong week. I mean, Kurt Cousins was pretty not great behind him in a big part of why the Vikings lost but Pff score of 77.20 Pressures allowed. Kirk Cousins struggles. Had nothing todo with Bradbury. Hey, did he really did his job on Sunday? Yeah, Bradbury was probably my favorite player in last year’s draft. Does he remind me so much of a young Jason Kelsey? He’s so mobile for that position. He could really get to the second level, even to the safety level when he’s out there moving around, you know, he had a kind of struggled as a rookie. I think strength is probably an issue adjusting to the NFL level strength wise. But the second year he’s really taking a huge jump. Uh, the highest rated player in that Vikings offense, 77.2. Great on Pff. This guy is, uh, he’s one of my favorite players in the NFL, and I’m glad to see him really showing out and making North Carolina proud. Um, I think this guy I don’t want to think anything. I think I think we’ll see this guy in the Pro Bowl eventually in his career because he is that good. He’s that athletic is probably the most athletic center in the league, and we saw him make those plays for N. C. State, His ability to poll get the second level. Like I said, just it’s it’s remarkable. Yeah, he’s the guy I kind of expected to end up in in New England as a key piece for a Bill Belichick offense. But, uh, Minnesota scooped him up before he could get down there. And I think they’re going to come to really appreciate that decision in years to come, especially, you know, as a piece in the pass protection game and protecting their running backs like Dalvin Cook and Alex Madison, who are good young running backs. I think he’s going to be a really big part of, of creating space for them and making that offense work. Taipan Ruis, from Tarboro and Danica Autry from album are all in that game on the defensive line. They would went up against Bradbury at times, and they combined for three tackles for the Colts so culture. Looking pretty good right now. Obviously, the upset loss to Jacksonville in Week one and some injuries at the wide receiver position in this game, it will be interesting to see if if they could get it together. They do have a game against the Jets coming up this week, so there will be multiple North Carolina products on both sides in that game. Romeo Okwara of the Detroit Lions out of artery Kell, four tackles for the Lions and 42 21 loss to the Packers. That Lions defense struggling a little bit here against the Packers in last week against Mitchell, Thomas Key and the Bears D C O Car as a potential bright spot for that group. I do, and you know it’s it’s cool that he does have his brother there now. Julian acquire. They’re both from our vehicle. Obviously, Um, I remember watching the lines full times last year. Romeo stood out to me. Um, cool name, by the way. It’s that’s all. All names seem type of guy. Um, yeah, that this line is Steve. I don’t know that Packers offense could still be really good. We might have under a them coming into this season. But the Lions defense did seem to struggle some on Sunday. But you know, whenever they match, begin against the package. Is gonna be on guys like a quarter and get consistent pressure on Rodgers. I think he’s capable that whenever they match up again. How Jr. Alexander, cornerback for the Packers, he has been awesome. Uh, he’s pro football. Focus is highest rated cornerback through two weeks of the season out of Rocky River. Former first round pick. He’s a e Don’t wanna go too far, but I think you look at him as as one of the game’s best young corners at this point and for a patterns team that’s trying to find these young pieces to put around Aaron Rodgers, who’s so far having a very resurgent year. This could be a contending team, I think, and I think Alexander on defense could be a big part of why. Yeah, I understand there is a mosque or he’s just never washed packages all over the field making players everywhere. I think he I think it’s probably safe to say he’s the best player from North Carolina playing the NFL today. You’re talking about. A guy has a great of 86.3, and if you’re someone that follows Profootballfocus, you know that those grades are pretty hard to come by. That’s remarkable. Grade. Tohave uh, again, Like we said last week, this guy is just He’s one of the premier corners in the league. I think we’re gonna be talking about him for not just rest of this year, but many years to come. As one of the top players on the defensive side of the ball, we might need to try to use some of our leverage toe, get pro football focus to grade North Carolina high school football because speaking, you know, we’re both kind of stat nerds a little bit. That would be a lot of fun to have those numbers every Saturday morning to look over from from reality, quite a bit of work. It’s just automatic, right? Like they have a robot watching games and spent the numbers out. It’s still as something about the Analects. People don’t understand it still, to a certain extent still subjective, where you have someone that’s actually, you know, actually watching someone that making the grades based off that we don’t need to get into that. But yeah, Todd Gurley of the Atlanta Falcons had a good not great game 61 yards rushing in a brutal loss. Uh, for the Falcons against the Cowboys that had to bring back memories of Super Bowl. Is it 51 or 52? You know, whatever the 28 3 game against the Patriots that had to bring back some bad memories for Falcons fans. I will say this. The onside kick, one of the worst football mistakes I’ve ever seen. They could touch the ball. The Cowboys have to wait for it to go 10 yards. The Falcons watch the ball roll. 10 yards allowed the Cowboys to get it. I will say if Todd Gurley was on that hands team, I do not think a Tarboro coached, brought up player would have made that mistake. That’s why I was going to say that this game was in No, no, no way. Todd Gurley fault e. I don’t know. I don’t know what the heck was going in their minds. They watched maybe because of the way that guy kicked it. They thought it was just different because he kicked it sideways. I have no idea. But e I never watching that game. I never felt like the Falcons. We’re actually gonna pull it out. So it didn’t It didn’t. It surprised me the way it happened, but it surprised me that they blew it. So, yeah, that Falcons team has some problems on the defensive side of all credit to Dak Prescott and the Cowboys for the comeback. But if you’re gonna have to come back in a situation like that, the Falcons, I think, are the team you wanna be facing. So they took. They took full advantage of that. Uh, maybe Atlanta should have run girly a little bit more with that lead to keep the clock and review, and things would have turned out differently. D J reader from Grimsley. We’re going back to Thursday night now had six total tackles for the Bengals and their loss to the Browns on Thursday night. That was a really interesting game. I think, unexpectedly, a really good game. One of the best games. Baker Mayfield, I think, has played in his whole career, and Joe Burrow came on really strong at the end to try to leave the Bengals back. Um, you know, reader, a big part of that defense for the Bengals. That’s gonna really need to get better to keep them in those games. So boroughs not having to play catch up late. Yeah. I remember our producer, Nick, going on Twitter before this game asking why we have the watchers on Thursday night being a pretty good game. You know, I was entertained. I watched the whole thing. Every snap reader, you know, uh, one of these guys, like we have a lot of like, he’s, like, rotational types of defensive lineman from North Carolina in the league. Um, he had a really good game on Thursday night. Six total tackles. He’s probably their rights defense. Uh, otherwise otherwise not great night for that defense defense. They’re still really young, you know, we have a couple of way have a couple of young guys for north. You’re lying there in their linebacking room. That defense is gonna be it’s gonna be a process. Get that defense up and running. But, you know, they’re not necessarily trying to win this year. I mean, they have a They have a really a core back situation for the next several years. So there there’s someone process of building. Yeah, it’s good to see a big night from reader on Thursday. Yeah, I think if the Bengals can add a couple, you mentioned this to me, and I agree completely. If the Bengals can add a couple of pieces to that offensive blind, it’s a struggle right now. If they could protect Burrow a little better, give them more time. They’ve got the wide receiving group and they’ve got a pretty good set of running backs. With Joe Mix and Giovanni Bernard, the pieces were there. They need to protect him and they need to do a little better job. Yeah, I didn’t actually notice that watching the game, but I went back. When I look up, I look up all the look up all the names of all of our players after the week is over and I saw the I saw the video of him running around in the end zone like they tried to speak and by I think, using this, an extra offensive tackle. Sometimes they could try to seek him through his guidance, but you know, they didn’t throw it to him. So, unfortunately, didn’t get to see Kendall am trying to make a catch. Their e think that’s worth a five point deduction from their fields. Profootballfocus Great. All that. Yeah, the Eagles, your team defense ankle. Javon Hargrave, from North through and made his season debut, was injured all summer. He signed a three year contract to leave the Steelers worth up to $39 million. The Eagle struggled really bad. Um, McVeigh and the Rams offense just kind of picked them apart. They had the right game plan. They executed it. That’s a tough team to defend to the Eagles in the Eagles defense. You know, when McVeigh has has his sharp and he’s got it rolling in golf is executing what he has. That offense is really tough to defend because it’s so quick and you don’t know which way the screen is going to go. If it’s gonna be a double screen where the tight end is gonna kind of flair to, it’s a tough offense. You have to pay a lot of attention to it. We saw that the year they made the Super Bowl. What did the Eagles defense not due? Toa Keep up with it. And how could Hargrave kinda help be a part of a really good running defense of the Eagles already have with that front seven. Yeah, well, Hargrave is a guy that he stood out for the Steelers for several years there. He came over as a free agent. He’s only 27 years old, has got that through your contract now, like I said, Like like you mentioned, you know, he came in the train. Can’t hurt. So this is his first, actually. Didn’t really play that much, But the Eagles defensively there, there, back in secondary is not good. So it’s gonna be on guys like Hargrave and Cox and Malik Jackson kind of get pressure up the middle to try to affect quarterbacks down toe the line here. But yeah, it z with the way. That way, that secondary is gonna be hard for guys like Hargrave to really make a really make an impact stacks wise and pressures wise. But like you said in the running game. He’s gonna be key that at least help Slow down that part of the game. We talked earlier about Braxton Barrios out of Leesville Road in the University of Miami, now in New York. Jet, um, any college prospects who may end up watching this. I’m sure you can relate. Toe the mail. It might be emails now, I don’t know for sure, but the mail you get when you’re highly sought after college prospect or even if you’re a high school student, you get a lot of mail from colleges. Braxton Barrios Like when he was at Leesville Road, he could relate to that. We have a package on that. Let’s roll it well. One of the most entertaining high school football players in the state is lethal Rose Braxton barriers. He list Clemson, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Oregon and Miami among his favorites. But plenty more schools have certainly filled the mailbox. Let me mention a couple of weeks ago, you know, you could just tell when he was playing high school football to use a little bit different. You can tell us some of these guys like There’s something. There’s something different here. There’s something special about this guy, and so it’s not entirely surprising. I don’t think to any of us that he is out here making these players on Sunday again. The big game on Sunday, where you’re 59 yards and a touchdown. Um, yeah, not not very surprising and just a really cool guy as well. We’re going to roll forward into our weekly pick segment. I believe we’re going to start with the Thursday night game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins. This is one I think most people wouldn’t expect to be looking forward to. But we thought that last week and it was a great game. I could see this being good. The Dolphins have started out with two really tough games. Their offense will get a chance against not as great defense. Gardner Minshew has been pretty electric for the Jaguars. These first couple weeks. Who do you got? I have to go with the Jaguars. They just look better so far, honestly, and you know, it’s interesting. You know, people. People came into the season, though he’s talking about, you know, the Jaguars were taking for Trevor Lawrence. You know, the Jaguars were taking for Justin Fields, but Gardner Minshew has really shown themselves to be, you know, he’s making a solid argument that he is a starting NFL quarterback. Um, just a really fun guy to root for fun. Gotta watch. I think that will be the most interesting part of ah of Thursday night is, you know, the watching me to go out there and make crazy place. That’s probably the main reason I’ll be watching. So I’m gonna go with the Gardner Minshew in the Jaguars. I’m gonna go with the Jaguars as well. Up next, we have the Texans in the Steelers. I think there’s a lot of great games this week. I think this is about the fifth best game this week and most other weeks. This would probably be the second or third best game. The Texans, coming off really tough losses to Baltimore in Kansas City, basically as tough of the start to the season as you could possibly have. Not getting much easier at Pittsburgh, which is two and o. Do you think Shawn Watson and company can can pierce the Steelers perfect record here? No, I have to tell you that I’m not big DeShaun Watson guy. I think he’s good, but I don’t think he’s as great as everyone thinks he is. And I think that Pittsburgh defense is going to be a problem with the Texans. Offense. Um, you’re talking about seeing that just like willingly gave up a top three wide receiver in the NFL for like, no reason at all last season if they had DeAndre Hopkins, I could see the Texas win this game, but the Steelers seemed like we mentioned earlier. I mentioned earlier that there one of my favorite kind of not really under the rare scenes, but there seems that I think that can really make it step up this season. I think they’re really gonna give the rain is a problem, and they have seen North. So I’m gonna stick with Steelers here. I’m gonna go with Steelers as well. I’m not quite as high on the Steelers is. You are. Their defense is fantastic. Makeup. Fitzpatrick and TJ water Great. I’m just not sold that, you know, Roethlisberger is back to the level that we’re used to him being at he’s back. He’s good, but I don’t know if they’ll be able to keep up with the Ravens. But I do think they’ll win this week against the Texans. Oh, we got a No and two against. Oh, and two game here, the Bengals air going to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. I’ll start with this one because you know we’ll let Joel wrapped up. Is the Eagles fan. I think the Eagles were bouncing back. I don’t think the Bengals could defend, and I don’t think they have a prayer of protecting Joe Burrow from from the Eagles pass rush or are making much room for Joe Mixon to run on the Bengals. I just don’t see the It’s gonna be interesting to see if they can attack the Eagles weaknesses in the secondary. But Tyler Boyd and A. J. Green I’m sure Joel thinks they will be able to do that very successfully. I’m not assault. Um, I think the Eagles are gonna win this one. I think Carson Wentz is gonna have a bounce that game because he’s really struggled these first two weeks and the Bengals defense is a good kind of get right opponent. I think I like the Eagles like 24 to 10. I disagree. I said on the first episode of this show that I think this season is just crying for disaster for the Eagles. I think there’s stuff going on off the field that that’s problematic and showing up on the field. I just think there’s just there’s just really something inherently wrong with this team. I think you mentioned the defensive line. They have not actually been getting pressure on these offensive lines. They’re supposed to dominate in the past two weeks. So you’re talking about a guy like borough similar to golf a guy that could get the ball out quick. I think I think Joe Burrow is gonna wash. Nate, Gary Eagles linebacker on film. I think Joe Burrow is gonna salivate, and I think Joe Burrow is gonna go after we’re talking about Team that also has a three day extra rest on the eagle’s coming in because I love Borough and I don’t love the Eagles secondary inability to cover while receivers. So I think that’s the perfect combination for me. Defective angles here. All right, we will see. We will see up next. We have the 40 Niners. Are they really the 40 Niners anymore, Solomon, Thomas. Nick boasts of both out for the year now. Jimmy Garoppolo, I think questionable this week. Raheem Mostert. Outstanding running back. I don’t think he’s gonna play this week. George Kittel gonna be questionable. Devo Samuels out. I mean, the sack one injury is tough for the Giants, but the 40 Niners have pretty much lost their entire core. Do you think? Do you think they have enough to beat the Giants? They didn’t have enough to be the Jets. Yeah, they’re more like the 39 years of this point. That’s all of the injuries coming in. But yeah, unless our guide Daniel Jones is a great is a great day. I think that there’s still enough talent that 40 Niners seemed to kind of, you know, take advantage of the giants. Seen, you know, uh, isn’t it is interesting. Are they going to stay in New York this week? That’s a good question. I don’t know. Well, Graham, see if they posted, like, a business trip post or something. Look, I’m taking the 40 Niners. I’m picking the 40 Niners to If Garoppolo can’t go, I do like Nick Mullins is the backup quarterback. I think he’s a guy who is one of the better backup quarterbacks in the league when given a chance, Not not great, but I don’t think they’re suffering too much of properly. Can’t go. Yeah, we’ll see the loss. I keep saying in Oakland, So used to that are going on the road. After a super impressive showing against the New Orleans Saints last night, they will be taking on the New England Patriots, led by Cam Newton. They both had really impressive games. I think the Patriots lost because they’re playing at Seattle and just how good Russell Wilson is. Do you think the Patriots can bounce back and be the hot Raiders team? I do. I think this is one of situations where you have it seems coming off such a big victory, a big moral victory on top of it, just a regular victory. You know, that was a big game for the Raiders, you know, really making that statement of them for them. I just think I kind of see a letdown coming. I think that the Patriots start kind of gonna be a little bit hungrier this week because they lost last week and they’re at home and the Raiders. Making that trip is not always easy, coming from the West Coast to the East Coast for 15 games. So I’m gonna go the Patriots. Yeah, You took the words right out of my mouth. I think this is a letdown spot for the Raiders, and the Patriots will be really motivated. After the way that game against the Seahawks ended. I think I don’t think this one will be too close. I think the Raiders are gonna be pretty good this year, but I could see the Patriots winning this one of my multiple possessions. The Tennessee Titans will be traveling to the Minnesota Vikings. Man, Minnesota looked bad. It was really against India in Indianapolis. Team that lost to Jacksonville, Tennessee. Uh, pretty good showing against the Broncos and almost lost themselves to the Jaguars last week. Um, do you think the Vikings can can pierce the Titans here? No, I think, uh, no, I think I think we’re gonna have a Herald Landry strip sack on Kirk cousins. And I think I don’t know if you return, but I think someone else in return for a touchdown, that’s my bold NC reduction over this week. Yeah, the Vikings just really, really struggled. And it wasn’t. It wasn’t very Bradbury’s fault. Just make that clear. Your better memories. Yeah, it was a Kirk Cousins issue. Garrett was snapping the ball. Really? Well, it was just Kirk after the snap, having some issues there, But yeah, I I really like this Titans team. I think I’m gonna go with them. Yeah, this Titans defense, I think you know, we could We could talk about Kirk Cousins Weaknesses for 20 minutes, probably. And I think the Titans defense is is fully equipped and pretty much built to take advantage of a quarterback like that Hesitant in the pocket makes bad decisions when he’s pressured, Uh, in the defensive backs. I mean, you’ve got to cover Adam feeling, but you know, B C. Johnson and Justin Jefferson or not impressing anybody, I don’t think at this point as target for cousins. So as much as Cousins has struggled, he really only has one option to hit down the field. If you take away feeling he doesn’t have much to work with on the Titans defense, I mean, they’re gonna be ready for for a really good Dalvin cook light rushing attack. And and that’s really the Vikings only weapons. So if you know it’s coming, you’re gonna be able to stop it. I think this is a blowout. Titans by probably 20. At least it’s very possible football team that never gets old football team of the Browns. Nick mentioned our chat here that Zach Adams has the highest. He’s the best record of all. The people, um, of our high school T staff. I think we’re Eagles, Lions, Panthers and and I forget who else but the Browns, that one and one of the best record right now of all of our people. So, uh, you know, the football team is a football team that has a good defensive line, but I’m not really. I’m not exactly sold on the rest of the team. Now I think that the Browns having that extra three days arrest, I think they’ll be able to prepare a little bit better for the football team Washington. And I think I think you might get another good game from Baker Mayfield. Actually, I don’t I think the Washington front is gonna have a pretty with that Brown’s kind of a week offensive line. I think they’re gonna be able to get to Mayfield pretty much at will. I just don’t know if Haskins in the rest of this offense can put up points. So I’m gonna go with the Browns and a low scoring one. They think if you pound Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt at a defense long enough, you’ll eventually start to get some opportunities in the passing game. That’s a really good ones. That’s probably the best one to running back Theo in the league. Um, I think the Browns will win a close one, but Washington is there. If Haskins come get it together, they’re going to be a good team next year. That XYZ I could be. Yeah, I agree with that. And you know, people. A lot of people’s main gripe with Mayfield is that he always wants to go and move around. So, you know, just just kind of sit there and stand the pocket, throw the ball because he he kind of place like, kind of plays like you want to be Russell Wilson. But I think what we saw from Kyler Murray last week a little bit proof that quarterback can run on that defense. So I think that I think we might see Baker kind of take advantage of some open spots because they come down the field so easily. If you could slide through there, you know that that that middle the field is gonna be open. For a guy like Baker that take advantage of could happen. The Los Angeles Rams Interesting game here at the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen, quarterback for the Bills. Red hot through two weeks against two pretty bad defense’s. I’m gonna go with the Rams here, I think. I think the Bills air favored and at home, and it is a cross country flight for the Rams. But that’s a good defense, better than better than what the Bills have been facing. And e think. I just think Sean McVeigh is back in terms of having an offense that is really tough for defense, is to stop on golf. Seems to have, you know, overcome the mental blocks I think he was having last year. He seems to be a lot calmer, and, uh, they’re hiding his limitations really well. In accentuating his strengths. I think you know, with the three headed monster at running back with, You know, three pretty solid guys and guys like Cooper Cup and Robert Woods and Tyler. Higbee has weapons. The tough team and I like the ramps. One, this one. Yeah, I think McVeigh’s kind of got his mojo back. Kind of awesome powers with you guys Mojo back. But the Rams play this wide receiver rookie wide receiver named Van Jefferson. He’s kind of an older rookie in 24 years old. He came from Florida. This guy really impressed me on Sunday. This guy can run just about every every right in the book. You’re talking about a guy like golf that really needs to have those receivers kind of open. I think having those three receivers also, Higbee is tight end. I think this Rammstein could be really That’s what it was A couple of years ago. I was in office, and that is that makes for a loaded NFC West. So I think it will be related. You could see how that division shakes out. All right, we’ve got the Chicago Bears, led by Mental Torbinski and Terry Cohen and Jimmy Graham at the Atlanta Falcons, led by Matt Ryan and Todd Gurley and the very questionable defense. Um, I like the Bears a lot in this one. Actually, uh, I think Travis Key is gonna have time with Alan Robinson and Anthony Miller to pick apart the Falcons defense, and the Falcons did a really good job against the Cowboys defense and the Bears Defense is a lot better than the Cowboys defense, and the Cowboys fumbled like three times in the first half. Eso that game really shouldn’t have ever been a You know, Atlanta should never have been ahead by as much as they were. It was fluky fumbles by Zeke Elliot and Pollard for the Cowboys. I like the Bears big. The Falcons, I think, are going to I mean, Matt Ryan and Julio Jones and those wide receivers will win them a game or two that maybe they shouldn’t. But I think they’re gonna be step above the teams, that air, contending for the number one overall pick. I believe the tight end for the Cowboys Tallinn Schultz to the big game on Sunday. I think that could lead to Jimmy Graham having a big game on next Sunday. Our guy from Wilson So I’m going to say I’m going to take Jimmy Graham and the Bears here. I think the Bears win this to buy about 10. Actually, I like that. There’s a lot here. The Carolina Panthers at the Los Angeles Chargers first visit to Sofia Stadium for the Panthers on impressive facility out there in the Los Angeles area. No Christian McCaffrey for the Panthers this week. I think that spells a lot of trouble because you know he really takes away that dynamic element that the Panthers have to their offense. And D. J. Moore and and Robby Anderson have looked really good is a 12 combination of wide receiver. Bridgewater turned it over a lot against the Buccaneers. I think he’ll clean that up, but I don’t think it will matter. I think the charges were gonna win this one with that pass rush and whether it’s Tyrod Taylor or Herbert. I prefer Herbert. But either way, I think the charges will win here. Yeah, I’m here to tell you that the Panthers have no shot in this game either way, whoever the starting quarterback is, the charter is so much better That defense, really good. Stifle I think that bridge Barlett offense and you know, they had tough game on Sunday. I think they’re gonna be looking for a big win here. But, yeah, a charge is made. My homes and the Chiefs look pretty pedestrian for you. And defense is still really good without Derwin James. It’s impressive. Yeah, that’s a good team. I don’t know if it’s a playoff team, but it’s I don’t wanna play. I don’t wanna play the Chargers if I’m if I’m another no. The New York Jets will be looking for their first win of the season at Philip Rivers. 19 Heinz in the Indianapolis Colts with Marlon Mack out. Jonathan Taylor. I think he’s going to quickly emerges one of the best running backs in the NFL as a rookie this year, and I think he’s gonna have a really easy time running for a lot of yardage and maybe a touchdown or two against the Jets. The Colts will put this one away early. Taylor will run away with it. Maybe Heinz gets involved in passing situations early on. Um, but yeah, I like the culture. That’s how I was gonna say after a big week, 1 19 kind of quite quite a week to, um, 90 miles from Garner and N. C. State. I think that shit’s just Stevens has some problems. I think they’re gonna be able to find 19 the backfield pretty easily, I think is gonna make a lot of big place. Um, as’s faras the Jets offense. It’s it’s really interesting, you know, you have obviously bells hurt. Right now we have Donald, the guy that was a top three pick, and he’s really not. He’s really not showing that many signs of progressing here, but, you know, it is nice for him to have guys like Crowder burials Interesting Steve Crowder. Crowder plays again this week, but I have to go with the Colts here. I agree. A big another big one. E. I think this will be America’s game of the week. The Dallas Cowboys at the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, Dak Prescott against Russell Wilson. I think you know, you look at the top 67 quarterbacks in the league. Wilson’s top three, for sure, I think Dak is moving into that 567 range, so this will be a good matchup. I like Seattle because Jamal Adams on defense is the type of playmaker that with Dallas as banged up as they are on defense, doesn’t have, um, but the weapons in this game. Tyler Lockett and D. K. Metcalf. Very impressive for the Seahawks and CD. Lamb had a really good showing against the Falcons. Michael Gallup is good. Amari Cooper had a crazy one handed catch against the Falcons. This is gonna be a really, really fun football game to watch. But I like Seattle in a close s game. Yeah, not there. One of these defense is you’re gonna be able to stop others. Offense. I think this is gonna be another shootout. Get again for the Seahawks and get again for the Cowboys. I think we could actually see this game. Get about 38. 30 Forage. I actually think this is the Cowboys chance to really, you know, take a step out there and prove that they’re serious. Team, I think after that week, one game against the Rams, everyone kind of maybe wrote them off a little bit. Now we know that the Rams air, actually probably back to what it used to be. I think the cowboys have more to gain from this game, and the Seahawks dio I will say that the Seahawks don’t have any margin for air because of how good the car rams look right now. So I think Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson is gonna be ready to go every week. I mean, both teams have a ton to play for. This is this is a really good early season matchup for sure. If this game was in December, I would pick the Seahawks. Yeah, in September, I’m taking the Cowboys. I think, like I said, it’s gonna be a shootout. Niners defense is going to stop. There is offense. It’s gonna be a very exciting game that I will watch every single playoff. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We’re going to travel to the Mile High City to take on the Denver Broncos. Man, I love this Denver Broncos team as a sleeper heading into the year, but Drew Lock has knocked out 3 to 6 weeks. I think Courtland Sutton, that wide receiver done for the year von Miller before the year was knocked out for the year, and I think they lost another piece of their defensive line. Bradley Chubb is still there and still going strong. And Jeff Driskel looked OK against the Steelers a quarterback, but and I just wish this Broncos team and stayed healthy. I don’t think they’re gonna be that. They’re gonna It’s at Denver, so it’s tough. But I don’t think they’re gonna come too close to beating Tampa here with their current. It’s unfortunate, you know, one of these teams that he says, a lot of promise, just suffering all these injuries and you’re talking about injuries to a multiple guys in the same position. Now it’s crazy, like, how does that? How does that happen to some of these teams and just not to others? But I think our guy Ryan, suck up from Hickory. Let’s have a big field goal. I’m talking about a 55 plus card field goal in this game. I think the box when it usually, But I do think we’re going to see him with that atmosphere there. We’re gonna see our kicker. Guys suck up in opinion. They’re gonna have some. They’re gonna have some big kicks on Sunday, so I’ll be interesting to see the Lions at the Cardinals. Jordan had ings fighting Detroit Lions led by Matthew Stafford heading west to take on the n f L M v P. Calling it now Kyler, Murray and the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona big right? I mean, Murray against this Lions defense, that’s that’s got to be the Cardinals. First of all, Russell Wilson, I think, is the favorite friendly either season. Second of all, like you lose to the Lions have no chance in this game. Absolutely no chance. Uh, this the Lions seen is just look, it’s it’s it’s a problem over there. It’s kind of messy. I don’t think my Patricia is gonna really last if he if he lasts until December, I think I would be surprised, to be honest with you. And I think that this Cardinals offense is just primed to take advantage of that line. Stevens, that’s really struggled so far this season, so, yeah, I’m definitely taking the definitely taking the Cardinals here. Yeah, I think Dan Quinn of the Falcons is probably on the hottest seat right now, but I think that Patricia has to be right behind him. You look at the Cardinals with Murray quarterback, the wide receiving group DeAndre Hopkins, top three in the league. We agree on that. Andy Isabella, out of the slot is really nice. Larry Fitzgerald still going still making some big catches on third down situations, and Christian Kirk and other wide receiver who is a really useful piece. Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmunds make a really good 12 punch. I know they’re not really rolling the running game too much right now, but there’s a lot of pieces for that offense. A lot of defensive coordinator has to think about it. It’s probably too much for the personnel the lines have at this point in our offensive line. You know, our three. It’ll be interesting if gallery starts again this Sunday. But you know, they do a great job protecting Kyler Murray, and I think that’s gonna be a non aerated part of that offense of that team throughout the season. Here’s how good. The office of minus Sunday night. We’ve got another good one. It’s the Green Bay Packers traveling to the Superdome in New Orleans to take on the New Orleans Saints, and I’m gonna make an assumption that or anyone who’s watching this I mean, in North Carolina, probably Panthers fans, probably Falcons fans. I’m gonna make a proclamation. The Saints Drew Brees is done. The Drew Brees you knew is gone. He’s a game manager. He’s Alex Smith now. No attempts of 20 yards downfield. They maybe got one late, but when the game was competitive last night, they didn’t push the ball downfield at all. So this is the album cameras offense. When Michael Thomas gets back, it’s his offense. States are still a good team, but you don’t have to worry about. You know these Drew Brees streak routes, where he throws a dime 60 yards down the field toe, Marcus Colston or whoever. It used to be. The Packers. We’re gonna win this one because Aaron Rodgers is still elite and Drew Brees has regressed to being just pretty good. I like the Packers on the road on Sunday night. I’m gonna take the Saints to bounce back a little bit because I don’t think the Packers have been tested yet. And, you know, like you mentioned, the breeze is not what it used to be. And that’s obviously true. But I just There’s something about the Saints team. I still think they’re just they’re just stacked throughout the roster. Every position and they never get these injuries Other teams yet, you know? So I think I’m not writing this team off by any means. I think I think Breeze is still serviceable enough to take them very far this year. I do think gyre Alexander is gonna be a problem. The offense, I think Breeze needs toe pay Really close attention to what Alexander is doing. Otherwise you’re gonna get picked off like you did last night. I’m gonna take the States to bounce back, though I think that this is the Packers first true test this season. And I think that that’s why the States we’re gonna win. I don’t think the States are bad. I think they’re still gonna win the division. I just think, you know, with Brady coming in and with the Falcons always being this theoretically good team, the NFC South got really hyped up, you know, as the Brady Brees Falcons. And who knows, Maybe the Panthers air okay to division, and I don’t think it’s going to shake out that I really don’t. I think the same, sir. I think the ST we’re gonna win the division that 10 and six or 11 and five, and one of those is gonna be a loss here to the Packers. I mean, Derek Carr picked them apart last night, and Rogers is going to do the same thing. I think. Yeah, I mean, we’re moving on to the next one. I was just gonna say, you know, everyone talked about the state’s game. Malcolm Jenkins back was this big steel of the off season. If you’re an Eagle stand, even watching that guy has a couple of seasons, it’s really not. He just He’s really struggling to cover tight ends now. Hey, tasked with covering a lot of tight ends and running backs, he just can’t do it anymore. He’s just not fast enough. If they’re going to use in the blitzing role, then, yeah, fine. If you’re gonna put him like a normal linebackers have, let’s all the time, That’s fine. But he cannot ast faras something’s Packers weapons. He’s just not able to keep up with them, So I do agree with you in that regard. If you like football, you need to clear your schedule for next Monday night because this is the game of the year. Whatever the Super Bowl is going to be because it can’t be this game. This is the game of the year the Kansas City Chiefs are going to Baltimore to take on the Baltimore Ravens. We got robbed of this in the playoffs last year because of how good the Titans Scott at the end. They played in the regular season in Kansas City. Chiefs. One last two MVPs. Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, I think. Baltimore slight favorites in this one. Do you have a read on Who’s going to win? I’m gonna take the Ravens. I think the Ravens sense of blood in the water right now. She’s the Chargers. Really, really stifle that Chiefs offense throughout the game on something. I think that Ravens defense is just as good as the Chargers. Maybe even better. I think that look, these teams that won the Super Bowl, they’re always gonna be. It’s not gonna be just a nisi coast to get back there. There seems like Ravens that come up that really planned their whole team based around stopping you, right? That’s all they did this offseason, was build their defense to stop the Chiefs offense. I think I think that’s been coming to fruition, in this game, I’m It’s possible the Chiefs do get back to Super Bowl, but I think right now I think the Ravens have a really good chance to beat them, especially home on Monday night. So I’m gonna go through Ravens. Yeah, I think the Chiefs offensive line got exposed a little bit against the charges. I think you know, there’s a little bit of a myth out there that, like the Chiefs of the perfect team with, you know, strip strong at every position. I don’t think that’s really the case. I think that offensive line is exploitable, and I think they’re a part of that defense is that could be beaten. You mentioned the Chargers may be laying the blueprint. I think that’s just kind of what the charges are there. The team that lays the brute, the blueprint to beat other teams, even if they can’t do it themselves. Two years ago, they famously went zero linebacker against the Ravens and the playoffs. All those safeties kept up with Lamar Jackson. They knocked him out, got killed by New England the next week and last week against the Chiefs. They slow the Chiefs down. They’re the only team in the NFC West to beat Mahomes at any point in his career. So they’re not a contender. But they’re good at finding other teams weaknesses and using that toe almost beat them or beat them in in an inconsequential way. So I think the Ravens will study that film, go to school on it, they’ll win. I think this is a This is the game of the year is gonna be great. I think it’s gonna live up to the hype, but I like the Ravens. Teak it out. Mhm, I agree. I’m expecting another big week for RNC players this weekend. I think we have a couple of guys have a little bit of a little step back in Week two, but I think we’re gonna have guys like 19 Jimmy Graham. I think these guys have big games this weekend. S are really looking forward to that because you know, that’s that’s the positive. Think about having rooting for your team. That’s not very good. You still get the root for all the players there from your state from the communities that you’ve been in and out of, and uh, you know it Z really cool to see all these guys having so much success in these guys get contracts. Uh, that’s that’s really just really just living the dream there. And, uh, yeah, I’m excited to see how the season progresses for all of them, on with how bad our respective teams are, that really is all we have to root for. This time. It’s that’s that’s my main thing right now is watching the North Carolina alumni do things to the NFL s. Oh my, I think just one final thought. If Michael Thomas comes back for the same, he’s been saying he wants toe beat his timeline on this ankle injury. Jr. Eggs Alexander. We’ll get a big test against Michael Thomas if he can come back home on Thomas, and that will be a heck of a matchup. Yeah, so So keep an eye on that on Sunday night.
