Halo Infinite Forge Mode Leak Shows Off Weapon Modification – Screen Rant

A new Halo Infinite Forge leak seems to reveal the game mode’s weapon customization feature, which lets players combine various weapon properties.
An apparent Halo Infinite leak details the exciting weapon modification system coming to the still-unreleased Forge mode. The latest entry in the sci-fi shooter saga, developed by 343 Industries, consists of an open-world single-player campaign and classic competitive multiplayer game modes. Previous Halo Infinite Forge mode leaks have given fans a glimpse at the highly-anticipated feature, and now a new leak shows off exciting weapon combinations.
First introduced in 2007’s Halo 3, Forge allows gamers to edit multiplayer maps and set up custom matches within them. A variety of different tools give players the freedom to dramatically alter maps, and subsequent titles like Halo: Reach and Halo 4 dramatically improved Forge functionality. Halo: Reach introduced Forge World, an untouched landscape that players are free to mold using the tools, and those who master the game mode are able to build truly breathtaking original maps designed for a wide variety of different gameplay types. 343 Industries delayed Halo Infinite Forge back in February, with the mode intended to release with Season 2 of the new sci-fi shooter.

Game industry leaker and Twitter user Rebs Gaming (via Video Games Chronicle) recently detailed the weapon combination feature coming to Halo Infinite Forge mode. Once appearing as a glitch in Halo 5, the concept has now been transformed into a full-blown scriptable Forge feature. Players will be able to give certain weapons the properties of other weapons to make deadly combinations. For example, the Cindershot can be made to shoot rockets or the Energy Sword can pack a Gravity Hammer punch. Halo Infinite’s weapon combination feature can even result in totally fan-made weapons, like a gravity gun capable of lifting and hurling physics objects.
While fans still anticipate the impending release of Forge mode, backlash against Halo Infinite Season 2 has soured some opinions about the game. The season’s new Last Spartan Standing mode, for example, has been widely criticized for bugs and glitches that mar the experience. 343 Industries also removed several hidden pathways and shortcuts that were hidden across Halo Infinite maps, ruining high-level skill jump strategies that experienced players had become accustomed to using. Season 2 also failed to include Forge at launch, making the Halo Infinite update altogether disappointing.
Forge mode has become a popular staple of the Halo franchise, and Halo Infinite players are anticipating the game mode’s return. Leaks have detailed the mode’s exciting features, with weapon combinations seemingly adding a ton of variety to the sci-fi shooter’s high-tech arsenal. While there is no estimated release date for Halo Infinite Forge mode, players can look forward to mixing and matching the game’s various weapons.
