Genshin Impact Characters That Work Best With The Fading Twilight Bow – Screen Rant

The Genshin Impact 2.7 event-exclusive bow Fading Twilight is now obtainable and can work on a few of Genshin Impact’s support bow characters.
Genshin Impact‘s Version 2.7 update has finally gone live. New 5-star Hydro character Yelan is available to be Wished for on her Banner, and Genshin Impact has its newest event, Perilous Trail. There is also a new 4-star bow available, but players might struggle to find who utilizes this new bow best.
This new 4-star bow called Fading Twilight is exclusive to Genshin Impact‘s newest event, Perilous Trail. If players don’t want to miss out on it, they need to complete the event before time runs out. Fading Twilight and its refinement materials are all available from this new event and will be unavailable after the event expires, barring any reruns in the future.

Fading Twilight has an Energy Recharge main stat, and an interesting passive. The passive reads as such: “Has three states, Evengleam, Afterglow, and Dawnblaze, which increase DMG dealt by 6%/10%/14% respectively. When attacks hit opponents, this weapon will switch to the next state. This weapon can change states once every 7s. The character equipping this weapon can still trigger the state switch while not on the field.” This new bow finds itself in somewhat of a niche spot, since it has Energy Recharge, which is mostly for support characters while the passive boosts damage. This bow is likely not anyone’s Best-in-Slot (BiS) as a result – but it can be usable on some of Genshin Impact‘s bow characters, and is still a worthy pickup, especially for free-to-play users.
Surprisingly enough, the best Genshin Impact character to use this bow will likely be Ganyu. However, this is only true if the player uses Ganyu as a sub-DPS instead of a main-DPS. The Energy Recharge and attack boost from this weapon fully support playing Ganyu in a sub-DPS playstyle, where she can continuously get her Burst back and spam it on cooldown while still receiving the attack boost from off-field. This bow also has a fairly high Base Attack stat which greatly benefits Ganyu’s high-scaling abilities and will further boost her off-field damage.
Kujou Sara can also be a good user of Fading Twilight since Sara is one of Genshin Impact‘s characters that make full use of Energy Recharge. The Favonious Warbow might be a better option for most players if they would prefer Sara to generate more Energy for her team, but the Fading Twilight can help Sara get her own Energy back as well as boost her own personal damage if players would prefer that. Similar to Ganyu, Sara greatly benefits from Fading Twilight having a fairly high Base Attack stat, since Sara’s damage buff scales with her own Base Attack just like Bennett.

Fading Twilight is definitely the bow to use on Yelan in Genshin Impact if players are not planning to Wish for her featured weapon on Genshin Impact 2.7’s Weapon Banner, the Aqua Simulacra. This is basically Yelan’s free-to-play bow, since she is a support that will benefit from the Energy Recharge to constantly keep her Burst up as well as the attack buff to increase its damage, as well as the damage from her Elemental Skill. Like Sara, Yelan benefits from having her own personal damage increased as well as being a character that wants Energy Recharge. Even though the Aqua Simulacra is definitely Yelan’s BiS weapon, the Fading Twilight is absolutely a good option for her if players would rather save their Primogems for something else.
Lastly, this bow can be decent on Fischl in Genshin Impact. While players would undoubtedly be better off using The Stringless or the Alley Hunter on her, since Fischl does not really need the Energy Recharge, Fischl can benefit from the off-field attack bonus and the high Base Attack, so players can put this bow on her if they do not own any better options. The Fading Twilight is somewhat of a niche weapon, making it typically not the worst but not the best either for a lot of Genshin Impact‘s characters. However, if players really need a support weapon for their favorite bow support, the Energy Recharge is a great help and can be put on anyone that needs it.
