Final Fantasy 14 Is Free Long Enough For You To Beat 3 Expansions – Screen Rant

A Final Fantasy 14 Free Login Campaign will give returning players 96 hours of free playtime, though that barely scratches the MMORPG’s surface.
Square Enix’s MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 is now free to play for up to 96 hours until June 30, giving players enough time to beat almost three expansions. The first version of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game launched in 2010, but after overwhelmingly negative reception it was completely reimagined in 2014. Since then Square Enix has frequently held free trials of Final Fantasy 14, and now players can return to the title for free for nearly 100 hours.
As a reimagining of its 2010 predecessor, today’s Final Fantasy 14 is considered one of the greatest MMORPGs in the industry. The title has been highly praised for its world design and character progression system, with the persistent world of Eorzea possessing its own simulated player-driven economy. A variety of game modes also let players engage in both PvP and PvE battles with other gamers. Since its release in 2014, Final Fantasy 14 has also enjoyed continued support from Square Enix in the form of updates and expansion packs. The recent FFXIV: Endwalker Patch 6.1, for example, brought with it a number of additions like a casual-friendly PvP mode called Crystalline Conflict.

A new Final Fantasy 14 Free Login Campaign, announced via Twitter, will let players return to Eorzea for free for up to 96 hours of gameplay. As detailed by the Final Fantasy 14 website, the campaign will run from June 15 to June 30 and will be available exclusively to returning players who have a registered version of the game that has been inactive for more than 30 days. Once players activate it the free login period will run for four days, giving them a maximum of 96 hours of gameplay if they play non-stop after starting the trial. The period is just long enough for players to beat three Final Fantasy 14 expansions, if they forgo sleeping and eating entirely.
While a Free Login Campaign is a great way to draw players back to the MMORPG, the director of FF14 has decried trolls who have been appearing in-game at an increased frequency. The trolling issue seems to stem from the new PvP mode Crystalline Conflict, which was added with Endwalker Patch 6.1. FF14 director Naoki Yoshika recently spoken out against toxic behavior, which includes distracting passive-aggressive voice chatting and slandering other players through social media. Crystalline Conflict is meant to cater to newcomers to the MMORPG, which has likely sparked the ire of volatile fans.
Square Enix continues to support Final Fantasy 14 with additional content, giving returning players an abundance of gameplay to tackle. Now the MMORPG’s Free Login Campaign will give gamers a chance to return to Eorzea free of charge for up to 96 hours of adventuring. This offers stands until June 30, so those interested in diving back into Final Fantasy 14 should take advantage of the opportunity while it lasts.
