Fans Campaign To Add Breaking Bad's Walter White To MultiVersus – Screen Rant

A fan campaign to add Breaking Bad protagonist Walter White to the ever-expanding MultiVersus roster has reached an impressive 20,000 supporters.
Fans of the crossover fighting game MultiVersus have started a campaign to add Breaking Bad protagonist Walter White as a playable fighter. The platform brawler, developed by Player First Games, brings together various Warner Bros. icons for intense crossover combat. Fans have already produced concept art of Walter White in MultiVersus, and now a petition to make the concept a reality is gaining traction.
The AMC crime drama Breaking Bad, which aired from 2008 to 2013, tells the story of chemistry teacher Walter White and his devolution into a drug kingpin. The series has been widely acclaimed thanks to its masterful writing and expert acting, with star Bryan Cranston receiving particular praise for his performance as Walter. Since the show's finale the world of Breaking Bad has been further expanded throughout the film El Camino and the spin-off series Better Call Saul, which just recently had its own finale. Creator Vince Gilligan recently revealed that a Breaking Bad game like Grand Theft Auto was pitched but never came to fruition, and now fans want to see Walter White in an entirely different type of game.

A Twitter account called Walter White for MultiVersus is campaigning to get the Breaking Bad protagonist into the crossover brawler, and it recently reached 20,000 followers. The exciting concept would let the criminal mastermind known as Heisenberg go toe-to-toe with Warner Bros. icons like Arya Stark, Bugs Bunny and Batman. The moveset proposed for Walter's MultiVersus appearance would see him use chemistry and cunning to bring down his opponents, with explosive fulminated mercury being an obvious special move.
While the inclusion of Walter White is a mere fantasy, leaked files suggest that Beetlejuice and the Wicked Witch in MultiVersus is a more likely possibility. Dataminers recently discovered voice lines belonging to the demonic entity, played by Michael Keaton in 1988's Beetlejuice, which indicate interactions with the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz franchise. This suggests that both supernatural figures will be added as new fighters during the title's first season.
With his cunning intellect and mastery of chemicals, Walter White would make a worthy addition to the MultiVersus lineup. Breaking Bad is owned by Sony Pictures instead of Warner Bros., however, making the crossover seem unlikely. Still, the concept's 20,000 supports could help bring Breaking Bad characters into the platform fighting game ring.
MultiVersus is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
