Dragon Ball: The Breakers Gets October 2022 Release Date – Screen Rant

Bandai Namco has announced that Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be released for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC, and Xbox One in October 2022.
Bandai Namco has announced an October release date for Dragon Ball: The Breakers, the upcoming multiplayer survival action game where a group of regular people must escape from one of the villains from Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball: The Breakers resembles Dead by Daylight in terms of gameplay, with a team of Survivors taking on a Raider. Said survivors must rely on stealth, speed, and distractions to survive, while the Raider slowly closes in on them, as they become more powerful over the course of the game.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is set in the world of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, with regular people trapped in a Temporal Seam outside of the boundaries of the timeline. These people have the misfortune of being stuck with one of the Dragon Ball villains breathing down their neck. Fortunately, the Survivors have access to weapons, grappling hooks, vehicles, and special abilities to help them escape. The goal of the Survivors is to make their way to the Super Time Machine, while the Raider’s goal is to obliterate all of the Survivors. The three Raider characters confirmed for Dragon Ball: The Breakers are Cell, Buu, and Frieza, while the Survivors are customizable characters.

It won’t be long until players can experience Dragon Ball: The Breakers for themselves. Bandai Namco has announced in the Frieza Reveal Trailer for Dragon Ball: The Breakers that the game will be released for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 14, 2022. The game will be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility. The latest trailer for Dragon Ball: The Breakers can be seen on the official PlayStation YouTube channel.
Frieza was already confirmed for Dragon Ball: The Breakers, as he appears in the official box art for the game, but the latest trailer has a closer look at his abilities. Dragon Ball: The Breakers has a Namek map, which is fitting for Frieza. The trailer shows Zarbon and Dodoria tearing through homes, while Frieza gradually goes through his different forms over the course of the stage. The last transformation shown is Frieza’s final form and he doesn’t appear to use his 100% final form or Golden Frieza forms, though these could be saved for cosmetic skins.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is launching in the run-up to Halloween, which is a fitting choice, considering the game emulates some tense horror titles. The Dragon Ball games usually belong to the action or fighting game genres, where the player takes on the role of super-powered heroes or villains. In Dragon Ball: The Breakers, the Survivors are mortals who must use gimmicks to try and survive for a little longer, which is an interesting idea for a Dragon Ball title. Lucky players will also have a chance to preview Dragon Ball: The Breakers with network tests in early August if they successfully apply on the Bandai Namco website.
