Call of Duty: Warzone 'Wind' Glitch is Sending Players Out of Bounds – GameRant

One Call of Duty: Warzone player shares an unfortunate incident that took place as they parachuted, or attempted to, on Rebirth Island.
It's been a big week for Call of Duty: Warzone fans as the Season 2 Reloaded update recently arrived with fresh content and changes. Near the midway point through most seasons, Raven issues a Reloaded update which adds a whole host of new content alongside highly requested fixes. For Season 2 Reloaded, the update added new game modes like Arms Race, a new map called Alpine, a brand new playable operator known as Gustavo alongside his Armaguerra 43 SMG, and plenty other features as well.
However, one of the bigger additions to the game with this update is the overhaul to Rebirth Island. Known as Rebirth Reinforced, Raven has gone through and made various changes to the map such as overhauling the less popular point of interests like Shore and Security Station. Now called Docks and Stronghold respectively, both of these zones have been given new buildings and features to make them more appealing. While the many changes have been appreciated by players, it seems not everything has gone off without a hitch, as a new bug is causing a bit of chaos for those dropping in.

Revealed on the Call of Duty: Warzone subReddit, a user by the name of braggster92 posts a short clip of them redeploying on Rebirth Island during a battle royale match. As expected, the player activates their parachute when nearing the ground, gliding to the exact location they want to ultimately land. However, the game had other ideas as the player's descent begins to hitch and hiccup, pushing them out to sea. Unfortunately for them, they were pushed so far off course that they were unable to make it back to the playable map space.
While unfortunate at the time, users in the Reddit thread seemed to have a good laugh at the clip. Most agreed that the lag spike was likely due to server related issues Call of Duty: Warzone was experiencing at that time, with some even admitting they ran into a similar situation. One user named YouLostMeThere43 even jokes that the game gives the player just enough hope that they'll have a chance to make it back before it ultimately pulls the rug out from under them.
While the servers seem to have stabilized for the time being, Raven has turned its attention to fixing a very frustrating glitch related to Warzone Battle Pass progression. Players have been reporting since March that battle pass progression felt broken and not rewarding as much XP as expected. While Raven has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix, there are those who are upset that it took the developer so long to respond considering players werren't getting the right amount of XP owed.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
