Bethesda Adds Classic Elder Scrolls Spin-Offs To Xbox Game Pass PC – Screen Rant

Xbox has announced a host of classic Bethesda games are joining Xbox Game Pass, including Quake 4, Wolfenstein 3D, Redguard, and Battlespire.
Xbox has announced a host of new additions to its Game Pass service, with a focus on classic Bethesda games and The Elder Scrolls spin-offs. Bethesda, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2021, has slowly been pushing many of its most popular games to the subscription service with titles relating to Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein, Dishonored, Doom, and plenty more.
Xbox Game Pass is already home to a number of beloved Bethesda-published games ranging from the classics to more modern releases. For those with an active subscription, Xbox Game Pass is one of the best places to access a host of Bethesda content for one monthly fee. While Xbox has been working to release more titles from Bethesda's back-catalog to the service, there are also future titles to look forward to, including the upcoming Bethesda-published vampire adventure, Redfall, which will be launching on Xbox Game Pass on day one when it releases in 2023.

Announced on Twitter, Xbox Game Pass has now added even more Bethesda games to its PC roster, this time in honor of QuakeCon. The titles included thus far are Quake 4, An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard, Wolfenstein 3D, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Currently, these are only for PC Game Pass users, with no word yet on if or when they will also be available on Xbox consoles. However, for players who don't use Game Pass, all of these titles are also available for purchase for PC on Steam and GOG. GOG is currently having a big sale with discounts up to 80% off on all Bethesda titles in celebration of QuakeCon, which includes all the aforementioned games plus dozens more.
Bethesda seems to be doing a deep dive through its old archives and making older games more accessible for PC players. As of last month, Bethesda also released several classics, such as Quake Champions and Daggerfall, for free to any PC players beta testing the Xbox Insider program. Both these events are just two of the results of the Microsoft-Bethesda merger from last year, in which Microsoft paid $7.5 billion to buy Bethesda. Since then, Microsoft has helped itself to the impressive large list of games, both new and vintage, now at its disposal.
Game Pass for PC is filling more and more with nostalgic favorites from Bethesda and id Software. Fans of Quake, Elder Scrolls, and Wolfenstein along with other classic Bethesda series, can look forward to their old favorites being available on more platforms. These games and more are available now for PC Game Pass users.
