Here’s how to get the 20 new Patterns in Season of Plunder

Our Destiny 2 guide explains everything you need to know, including choosing a class, a guide to Exotic armor, emotes, weapons, sparrows and ships, how to trigger Heroic Public Events and much more.
Crafting has become a big part of Destiny 2 since the release of The Witch Queen expansion earlier this year. Each new season since the major release has added a host of new weapons to craft.
In this Destiny 2 guide, we’ll walk you through all 20 of the new, craftable weapons in Destiny 2: Season of Plunder.
Note: If you need a refresher on how crafting works, check out our guide.
New to Season of Plunder is a pair of quests at the Relic on Mars called Foundry Resonance and Foundry Shaping. These quests will teach you how to craft weapons in Destiny 2, which was previously only explained via The Witch Queen campaign.
This quest is great for new players, but it’s even better for veterans. Even if you know how to craft, you should go pick up both quests and complete them. Doing so will net you the full Patterns for the Ammit AR2 auto rifle and the Taipan-4FR linear fusion rifle. The latter is currently one of the best weapons in the game for raiding and other endgame content.
Once again, here are both new weapons you can craft from this quest:
Like most seasons, Season of Plunder adds six new weapons to Destiny 2, and all of them are craftable. However, in a departure from Season of the Risen and Season of the Haunted, there is no upgrade that will allow you to purchase a Deepsight Resonance seasonal weapon of your choice each week. This means that you’ll essentially need to get lucky in Season of Plunder by getting five Deepsight Resonance weapons for each of the guns.
Your best bet here is to complete all the seasonal activity Challenges on your characters each week, as well as running Expeditions with weapon focused maps. Decoding Umbral Engrams into a random seasonal weapon also seems to drop Deepsight Resonance weapons with some frequency.
Eventually, you’ll be able to improve your Pirate Crew with the Hidden Compartment upgrade (available the week of Sept. 13), which will guarantee you one Deepsight Resonance weapon on your first Ketchcrash run each week.
Your goal is to just get as many seasonal weapon drops as possible, which should eventually allow you to craft the weapons listed below:
King’s Fall is the second raid after Vow of the Disciple to have craftable weapons, and there are thankfully some guaranteed ways to get Deepsight Resonance drops.
Each week, you can pick up two guaranteed Deepsight Resonance weapons per account. The first time you buy a weapon with Spoils of Conquest from the Oryx chest, it will drop with Deepsight Resonance. You can also complete the puzzle for the guaranteed Deepsight Resonance chest each week, which will give you a random Deepsight Resonance raid weapon that you don’t already own the Pattern for.
Using the above methods, you’ll be able to get one random DR weapon and one of your choosing each week. It’s also possible for encounters and secret chests to drop Deepsight Resonance weapons, but it’s quite rare.
Even if you only ever get the guaranteed Deepsight weapons, you’ll be able to craft all the King’s Fall guns in 15 weeks.
Here are all the weapons you can craft from King’s Fall:
The Dares of Eternity weapons first launched last December — alongside the Bungie 30th Anniversary pack — months before the crafting system was added to the game. But in Season of Plunder, Bungie had made the Dares weapons craftable, giving players a good reason to jump back into the game show-like activity.
Like all the other activities listed above, Deepsight Resonance versions of Dares weapons can drop randomly, so it’s all about putting the time in to grind out the Patterns. However, there are more efficient ways to grind than just running Dares of Eternity over and over again.
First, you’ll get a guaranteed Deepsight Resonance weapon the first time you complete a Master Dares each week, which is the only way to get a guaranteed DR drop. If you want more drops, you should focus on Starhorse’s bounties.
Each of these bounties costs Strange Coins, and will reward you with Paraversal Hauls upon completion. You’ll get one Haul for a daily bounty, two for the minor weeklies, and three for the major weeklies. These Paraversal Hauls can sometimes contain Treasure Keys, which is the best and fastest way to get Deepsight Dares weapons.
If you’re serious about getting these Patterns, your best bet is to run the three weekly bounties on each of your characters every week.
Here are all the weapons from Dares of Eternity that you can craft:
