Roblox has announced He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: You Have The Power!, a new free-to-play RPG inspired by the Netflix series.
An all-new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe RPG game experience has arrived in Roblox, inspired by the Netflix series. Roblox continues to be one of the biggest brands in gaming, providing millions of players with fun and unique experiences within the free-to-play gaming platform.
As well as giving users the ability to create their own levels, worlds, and games, Roblox has often been home to officially licensed content, which usually serves to promote newly-released movies, games, and TV shows. Earlier this month, Sega and Roblox teamed up for the release of Sonic Speed Simulator, an all-new Sonic the Hedgehog experience created by game developer Gamefam. Players can use Sonic’s speed to traverse a host of varied game worlds, collecting skins and even companion pets as they do so. With millions of users across the globe, Roblox has become a popular choice for external promotions, often leading to the creation of highly unique yet officially licensed game content.
The next official Roblox partnership game experience is now live, giving He-Man and the Masters of the Universe fans a new RPG experience to delve into. Created in collaboration with Netflix, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: You Have The Power! features maps seen in the TV show, where users can take part in PvP battles within the free-to-play RPG. The Roblox creation sees users harness the Power of Grayskull and become a Master of the Universe, stepping into the shoes of beloved heroes and villains including He-Man himself, as well as Evil-Lyn and Skeletor, with more characters still to be announced. Users can unlock skins, discover hidden chests, collect Jewels and Kirbinite, and master legendary abilities, and new content will be released for the live experience each month.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: You Have The Power! comes from the aforementioned game developer Gamefam, meaning fans of Sonic Speed Simulator likely won’t want to miss out on the new game experience. This isn’t the first time Gamefam has designed a Mattel-licensed video game within Roblox, having previously created 2020’s Hot Wheels Open World, which offered a new take on Hot Wheels video games. Avid fans might also recognize the game developer for their other works, which include Car Dealership Tycoon and All Star Tower Defense.
2022 is proving to be a great year for He-Man fans, with Netflix’s animated He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe‘s season two now available on the streaming platform. Along with Roblox‘s You Have The Power! game, there’s still a new Masters of the Universe movie set to release in 2024. The upcoming film – and the potential success of the Roblox experience – could see renewed interest in He-Man games, which could well lead to even more new video game releases in the future.
